Why Bavaria Stole My Heart

Right now, I’m lucky to call Munich home, and honestly, Bavaria has it all. Picture-perfect mountains, storybook castles, charming villages, rich traditions, delicious food (yes, the cheese spaetzle is divine!), and a deep respect for nature.

Whether you’re hiking in the Alps, sipping a Radler in a sunny beer garden, or dancing at a village festival — Bavaria’s mix of culture, nature, and authenticity is something special. And I want to show it all to you!

A Global Journey with Local Roots

I grew up in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, but life quickly became an adventure. I’ve lived in London, worked in Bratislava, and now explore Bavaria with the Deutschland Ticket in my pocket.

In 2022, I took a leap — a one-year sabbatical that took me across five continents: Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and Africa. I traveled through Singapore, Morocco, Taiwan, Canada, Georgia, Jordan, and more. Along the way, I realized that travel isn’t about collecting stamps — it’s about collecting stories, memories, and meaningful experiences.

That’s when Hakitravels was born.

My blog is all about showing you hidden travel gems and practical tips that make your journey easier, greener, and richer.
